Listed in AdWeek as one of the top 20 Content Creators of 2016. Directed a short film for Dove (Dove Real Beauty Sketches) which within one month of releasing accumulated over 150 million views on youtube and officially was titled the most viewed commercial of all time. Subsequently the Dove film went onto to be named by TIME magazine as the number one commercial of 2013.

Grew up in the midwest. At the age of 18, he got a summer internship at Mozilla FireFox where he pitched the concept of creating a giant FireFox logo crop circle as a viral marketing stunt for the popular web browser. The idea was approved and John successfully created the FireFox crop-circle stunt which still to this day stands as the most viral marketing campaign in the history of the company. John went on to attended Art Center College of Design on a full scholarship. John's student work at Art Center lead to a full-fledged directing career before graduation. 

John is a fan of emotion, human-interest topics, cinematic ascetics, and intimate character stories. His work has been featured by The New York Times, The Today Show, CNN, TIME, Forbes, ABC News, and many others. John has partnered with top agencies like Mullen, Grey, Wieden+Kennedy, 180LA, 72 and Sunny, Saatchi & Saatchi, Digitas, Ogilvy, and DraftFCB. He has helmed campaigns for clients like Apple, Coca-Cola, eBay, Samsung, Dove, Guinness, Google, Philips, Goodwill, and more. Industry recognition includes: 2014 DGA nomination, 2013 CANNES LIONS TITANIUM GRAND PRIX, 2013 One Show Gold Pencil, and more.
